Oscar de la Renta was one of the world’s greatest fashion icons, making women look regal and approachable using romantic color and light. It is not surprising that Oscar de la Renta was first a student of abstract art and it is even less surprising that he would eventually launch a home line. It is no coincidence that Fashion and Interior Design are so similar. Both require the ability to view color, space, and light in a unique way, while also satisfying the desires of the consumers. Oscar de la Renta recognized this similarity and seamlessly infused his clothing patterns to his home collection. Oscar de la Renta will be missed and we thank him for the beauty he gave us in clothes and at home.
